Beach wardens have returned to duty in Burnham-On-Sea and Berrow this week for the start of the new holiday season.
Sedgemoor District Council’s wardens went back on duty on Friday in time for the Easter holidays and ahead of the summer season.
“They are now in place until late September and supervise beach activities, provide basic first aid, issue jetty permits and collect car parking fees on Berrow Beach,” said a council spokeswoman.
In the high-season months of July and August, the beach wardens will once again be joined by RNLI lifeguards on Burnham and Berrow beaches.
