More than 300 pupils from a Burnham-On-Sea school were treated to a morning on the town’s beach to mark the end of their school year on Wednesday (July 13th).
The youngsters, aged between 3-11, from St Joseph’s enjoyed a fun-filled morning on the beach next to the jetty in brilliant sunshine, as pictured here.
Headteacher Simon Kingwell told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “As part of an end-of-term treat all our pupils took part in a sandcastle building competition and enjoyed a morning of other fun activities.”
“Many of the children brought in decorations for their sandcastles, such as flags, ducks, ribbons and flowers, to decorate their creations. It was all a good reward for all their hard work over the past year.”
He also thanked Burnham’s Morrisons supermarket, which generously gave free ice creams to all the pupils.
