Sub-zero temperatures left these wintry scenes on beaches in the Burnham-On-Sea area over the weekend.
A layer of ice was left along the high tide line stretching between Burnham and Brean Down, as pictured here on Sunday morning, after temperatures fell to -4°C overnight.
With the wind chill taking a further two degrees off the overall temperature, there were few walkers on local beaches on Sunday morning.
Forecasters predict that milder conditions will arrive on Tuesday when wet and windy weather moves in from the Atlantic.
