Friends of Burnham-On-Sea Beach plan beach clean this Saturday

-

The Friends of Burnham-On-Sea Beach are to hold their latest beach clean this Saturday (May 20th) when local residents are encouraged to get involved.

The group will be meeting at 10am outside Burnham Sailing Club to clean the beach and banks along the banks of the River Brue.

The group’s Mark Hollidge told Burnham-On-Sea.com this week: “We will be clearing along the bank of the River Brue where it meets with the seafront.”

“We have a strong group of regular volunteers but we would warmly welcome anybody who fancies having a go for the first time.”

“It is a truly rewarding experience. Any children who join in must be five years or older and accompanied by an adult.”

The beach clean will be held from 10am-12 noon. All equipment is provided but please wear footwear suited to what can be rather muddy conditions.
