Well-known songs such as Surfin’ USA, I Get Around, God Only Knows, and Sloop John B will be brought back to life when a tribute act takes to the stage in Burnham-On-Sea on this Thursday.
The magic of The Beach Boys will return on September 7th at The Princess Theatre.
The Beach Boyz Tribute Band promises to replicate the sound and experience which made the Beach Boys one of the most famous acts on the planet 50 years ago.
They will weave together complex orchestral arrangements and intricate harmonies with dazzling colour and infectious energy.
The California-based Beach Boys band took the world by storm in the 1960s with their upbeat tunes, which were revered across the globe and known for getting people singing and dancing along.
They scored UK number ones with Do It Again and Good Vibrations among a jam-packed back catalogue of unforgettable hits.
Their huge array of classic hits propelled the band to more than 100 million record sales worldwide – enough to make them one of the most successful bands ever.
The Beach Boys earned high praise from the Rolling Stone magazine back in 2004, which ranked them as number 12 in its 100 greatest artists of all time feature.
But with concerts few and far between these days, The Beach Boyz have toured the world showcasing their skills to Beach Boys fans and filling the void left behind.
The group is coming into the gig off the back of a stellar performance at Glastonbudget, a music festival dedicated to tribute acts, where they wowed the crowds with their top-quality vocals.
This show is a chance to see the excellence of The Beach Boys recreated. The show will start at 7.30pm and tickets, priced £16-18, are available from 01278 784464 or online at www.princesstheatreandartscentre.co.uk
