A seafront cafe in Burnham-On-Sea has this week unveiled plans for an extension.
The Bay View Cafe on the South Esplanade is seeking full planning permission for the erection of an extension to its north elevation to create a new covered area.
The cafe hopes to install an 8.75m wide by 6m single storey projecting glass roof aluminium veranda to allow customers to use the area in all weather conditions year-round.
The application is due to be considered by the Town Council and Sedgemoor District Council during coming weeks.
The application – reference number 11/15/00042 – can be commented on by interested parties to the district council up until May 16th.
