Three Burnham groups club together for charity race night fundraiser
Burnham Lions, the Round Table and Rotary Club are making final preparations for a Charity Race Night which will be held at Brean Leisure Centre this Friday, April 22nd.
The event starts at 8.00pm and all are welcome to attend, with proceeds going to the Burnham Area Youth (BAY) Centre’s building fund.
President of Lions, Gerry Matthews commented: “If you are unlucky and don’t win on the night the community will – from the improved service which the BAY Centre will be able to provide locally.”
The event is part of a fund raising day of golf and evening entertainment organised jointly by the Lions, Round Table and Rotary Club to mark the 40th Anniversary of the BAY Centre opening at Cassis Close.
This combined effort has been very rewarding and the service clubs hope they will be able to work together in the future to help needy causes in the Burnham and Highbridge area.
