Hundreds of pounds was raised towards vital repairs for Burnham-On-Sea’s youth centre roof on Sunday afternoon (December 11th) when a fundraising Christmas bazaar was held.
A number of stalls selling a wide range of merchandise were set up at the BAY Centre in Cassis Close, raising a total of almost £250 for its repair fund.
“We had a steady stream of visitors throughout the afternoon – including Father Christmas – and everyone had a great time while raising funds for a good cause,” one of the organisers told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Among the local groups supporting the event was Burnham Dreamscheme, BIARS and many of the groups who use the centre for meetings.
The fundraiser was held as part of the BAY Centre’s ongoing fundraising drive to raise £33,000 to replace its leaking roof, which we first featured here.
