Burnham-On-Sea’s BAY Centre welcomes £6,593 lotto funding boost

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s BAY Centre has been awarded a grant for more than £6,500 that will help it modernise and become more energy efficient.

The centre in Cassis Close, Burnham has received £6,593 from the ‘Awards for All’ big lottery grant.

The BAY Centre’s Chairman, Mike Lang, welcomed the news this week, telling Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The BAY Centre has been offered an ‘Awards for All’ big lottery grant, for the purpose of replacing our lighting with modern LED fittings, and the upgrade of all our external doors.”

“We are exceptionally pleased with this support for a project that will modernize the centre and ultimately reduce the coat of our large electricity bill.”

The National Lottery’s ‘Awards for All’ offers grants for grassroots and community activity that aims to improve life for local people and neighbourhoods.
