A new convenience store has opened in Burnham-On-Sea’s town centre this week.
Bargain Booze Select Convenience has opened in place of the former Central Radio Services shop at 58 The High Street.
While the new shop has a licence to sell alcohol from 6am to 11pm, seven days a week, its owner Malav Desai (pictured) told Burnham-On-Sea.com that it will open from 7am-10pm on weekdays and Saturdays and 9am-9pm on Sundays initially.
“This is my second Bargain Booze franchise after a store in Worle, but there are over 600 outlets across the UK selling not just alcohol but food, newspapers, magazines, confectionery and toiletries,” he said.
“There has been a positive response so far with lots of interest from local people.”
Burnham-On-Sea.com first reported on the plans here soon after Central Radio Services closed in the autumn after more than 70 years of business.
