Burnham charity helps keep medical centre’s staff moving during snow

-

Volunteers from Burnham-On-Sea rescue hovercraft charity BARB have been helping the town’s doctors reach patients across the area during this week’s severe winter weather.

On Friday, BARB’s two 4×4 trucks were used several times to safely transport doctors and nurses from outlying areas into Burnham and then take them to patients requiring home visits.

“Our volunteers have worked closely with the team at Burnham Medical Centre to provide safe transport during the severe weather which has been greatly appreciated by the staff and patients alike. BARB is happy to help when it can,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
