Burnham-On-Sea’s BARB Search & Rescue receives PC kit donation

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s rescue hovercraft charity BARB Search & Rescue has been given a boost with the donation of £2,000 of new PC equipment this week.

Two new computers have been donated by Burnham estate agent Abbott And Frost, along with screens and keyboards.

They were handed over to the charity by the estate agent’s Julian Frost and Tim Gibbs from Clarity Bristol, who has supplied and installed the kit.

Mr Frost said: “We heard that BARB needed to replace its IT equipment and wanted to help. They do a super job and we were keen to assist them.”

“We have been involved with various community initiatives over the years – from local football teams to community groups – and are always happy to help when we can.”

A spokesman for BARB said: “We are very grateful for this kind donation, which will help us provide enhanced training programmes for our volunteer crewmembers, replacing our old equipment. As a small local charity, we rely on donations to keep running and greatly appreciate the support.”
