Youngsters at East Huntspill School and Pre-School got a lesson in beach safety this week when one of Burnham-On-Sea’s rescue hovercrafts made a special visit.
Rescue charity BARB was invited to bring its Light Of Elizabeth craft to the school, where pupils heard about some of its rescues and discovered how it works.
The school’s Sara Puddy told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “They were fascinated to find out how it operates and hear about some of the rescues it has made while also learning about beach safety.”
“The children were able to climb onboard and meet some of the charity’s volunteers. East Huntspill School and Pre-School thanks everyone from BARB for a wonderful visit.”
