Tourism businesses in Burnham-On-Sea have enjoyed a bumper Bank Holiday weekend as sunny weather attracted crowds of visitors.
Newly-opened ice cream parlour Flavours on The Esplanade was among the firms which benefited, according to owner Nigel Burrow (pictured).
He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s been a great first week of trade for us. There’s been lots of demand for our award-winning, locally-made ice cream. The great weather has certainly helped.”
And one of Burnham’s holiday traditions, the beach donkeys, were also kept busy. Owner Debbie Banwell told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The beach has been busier than normal for the time of the year and our donkeys have proved popular.”
Friday’s Royal Wedding celebrations in Burnham – covered here – also helped to further boost trade in the town.
