Fourteen-year-old street dancer Louis Cain has been named the winner of Burnham-On-Sea’s very own X-Factor style talent competition final this week.
Louis, pictured right, was among ten young entertainers who made it through to the finals of ‘The B-Factor’ in The Princess Hall on Saturday night.
“Voting was very close, but the winner on the night was 14-year-old Louis Cain whose street dancing had everyone amazed,” organiser Sandy Ballantyne told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Louis walked away with our B-Factor Winner’s Crystal trophy and £100.”
The runner-up was Jemma Morgan, who received £50 and whose beautiful voice was a big hit with our judges.
Sandy added: “We were slightly taken aback by the success of Saturday’s B-Factor final with a much larger than anticipated audience packing The Princess.”
She added: “Our judges would also like to give a mention to 14 year-old dancer Floss Berry who just missed out on a prize by coming third.”
The event was organised by BEES (the Burnham Excellent Entertainment Society) and saw fifteen acts taking part in the initial heats last week at King Alfred School, with ten acts making it through to the final.
Sandy said: “BEES would like to thank everyone who helped with the B-Factor, especially the drama department at King Alfred School and Burnham & Highbridge Town Council who donated the prize money.”
Popular entertainer and comedian ‘Buster’ was the head judge and was joined by Clive Slater from Burnham Lions, John Holmes, Chairman of Burnham Pantomine Society and, Sarah Loveridge, choreographer and life-long member of BEES.
