Discount retailer B&M has this week said it has not set a date for the opening of its new store in Burnham-On-Sea.
Last week, the firm began recruitment of staff for its new store in the former Morrisons store in Pier Street, as we reported here.
However, a B&M spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Wednesday (July 6th): “We are still in negotiations and don’t have an opening date. Nothing is confirmed.”
Many shops in Burnham town centre are concerned that the opening of B&M will adversely hit their business, a point that B&M has previously disputed, saying that its stores boost footfall in the surrounding area.
