Local author Andrew Powell-Thomas will be at Burnham-On-Sea Library in November discussing his latest children’s book.
He will be talking about his latest publication ‘James and the Ogre’ during the visit on November 2nd between 12noon and 1pm.
“There will be chance to ask Andrew questions – ideal for those budding writers of the future,” said a spokesman.
He’ll also be selling copies of the book. The event is free of charge with no need to reserve spaces.
A school teacher by trade, Andrew writes children’s fiction, influenced by his two young sons, as well as being the author of a number of local history books.
His debut book, a rhyming children’s book entitled ‘James and the Dragon’, was published in January 2017.
April 2017 saw the publication of his second book, and his first foray into the field of non-fiction, with ‘The West Country’s Last Line of Defence – Taunton Stop Line’.
His third book ‘Somerset’s Military Heritage’ came out in April 2018 and his next book ’50 Gems of Somerset’ will be available in February 2019.
