Four men have been arrested following an assault in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea this week.
Police were called to the junction of the High Street and Cross Street just before 7pm on Tuesday evening (June 4th).
Inspector Roger Tolley confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are investigating an assault on a man in his 50s which occurred in Cross Street at 6.55pm.”
“The victim reported being punched several times by a group of people. An investigation has begun and four young men, aged 21, 18, 15 and 14, were arrested on suspicion of affray and later released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
Police have appealed for witnesses and asked anyone who saw the incident to contact them via the non-emergency number 101.
