-

Burnham-On-Sea firefighters rushed to a supermarket car park in Highbridge this morning (Tuesday, August 17th) after a vehicle was reported to be on fire.

A motorist in the town’s Asda car park raised the alarm at 11.36am after spotting smoke emerging from the engine of a silver Citroen.

Fire spokesman Simon Clews told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “One fire crew from Burnham attended and found a small fire under the bonnet had been put on their arrival.”

“The crew inspected the car and checked it over for safety before returning to the station.”
