Burnham artists display their work at Somerset Arts Weeks exhibitions

A group of Burnham-On-Sea artists are displaying their colourful work as part of this month’s Somerset Art Weeks.

Clive and Sue Hammond­Lovatt, Margaret Micklewright and Cora Stock are showing their latest work at 112 Berrow Road from 10am­5pm daily throughout the festival, which started on October 3rd and runs until 18th October.

On display, with free entry, are local paintings, plus willow and driftwood sculpture, prints, etchings, ceramics and cards.

Meanwhile, Kim Francis is displaying her sculptures, made of stone, porcelain and bronze, at Copse Hall in Hill lane, Brent Knoll from October 9th-11th inclusive from 11am-3pm with admission £4.50.

Visitors to Brean Down will be able to see a ‘visual and auditory journey’ as past histories are brought to life. The display, featured here, is open from 11am-4pm on October 8-11th and 15-18th.

And Burnham’s concrete lions display on the town’s seafront are continuing through October to mark the festival. Created by local artist Rebecca Moss, pictured below, they are attracting lots of attention. Read more here.
