Burnham-On-Sea’s MP has given her support to National Arthritis Week in promoting awareness of musculoskeletal conditions.
Tessa Munt has joined Arthritis Research UK in raising awareness of arthritis and the impact it has on one in six people in the UK.
Tessa showed her support at a parliamentary event hosted by Arthritis Research UK marking National Arthritis Week.
Arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions are long term conditions that are painful, often debilitating and can impact greatly on people’s quality of life.
Whilst attending, Tessa said: “I’m delighted to support Arthritis Research UK’s work in raising awareness of arthritis and other conditions of the muscles, bones and joints.”
“The event has helped me to fully appreciate the impact of osteoarthritis and other forms of arthritis on the daily lives of many people in Somerset. With that in mind, it’s important that local people take the opportunity to learn more about arthritis and get involved in National Arthritis Week.”
