Six Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge artists have joined together to form an art trail round the town this month.
You can meet the artists face-to-face in their studios across Burnham or buy or place a personal commission for a special piece from Saturday 16th September – Sunday 2nd October.
In Burnham there’s a wide variety of work that visitors can see – from wood turned plates and ceramics to etchings, textiles and paintings of the local area.
During Somerset Art Weeks the artists Cora Stock, Eric Petrie, George Foweraker, Judith Champion, Linda Gee and Peter Howe aim to provide the opportunity for anyone of any age to experience a wide range of arts and crafts.
Cora Stock’s ceramics, print making, painting, prints and drawings are on show at 47 The Esplanade from 1-6pm Monday to Thursday, and 11am-6pm on Friday to Sunday.
George Foweraker’s wood turning work is at 7 Rectory Road from 11am-6pm daily.
Judith Champion’s drawings, paintings and mixed media is on show at The Old Piggery Studio in Middle Burnham Farm in Stoddens Lane from 11am-6pm Monday – Saturday and 2-6pm on Sundays.
Peter’s Howe’s paintings are on show at 16 Osborne Walk in Burnham from 11am-6pm daily.
Linda Gee’s books, paper, jewellery and textiles are on display is at 212 Burnham Road from 11am-5pm daily, and Eric Petrie’s paintings, prints and drawings are on show at 100 Highbridge Road from 11am-6pm daily.
Burnham’s Margaret Micklewright is also displaying her paintings at Marcombe, Old Coach Road in the village of Cross from 11am-5pm daily (except Mondays).
Courses in drawing, painting, ceramics, textiles, wood or mosaics are also on offer with individual professional expertise where and when it is required.
