Highbridge’s Apex Park to host ‘rock art’ session for kids today!

-

Highbridge’s Friends of Apex Park are set to run a special children’s colouring activity in order to become part of the latest ‘rocks’ art craze.

They will host an ‘Apex Park Rocks’ session on Wednesday 30th May, between 11am and 1pm at the Apex Park office in Marine Drive.

Children will be encouraged to decorate one or as many rocks as then to hide them around Apex Park for others to find.

A spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Decorated rocks can display personal messages or names and the new ‘Apex Park Rocks’ Facebook page name.”

“This is so when people find one, they can then upload a photo onto the ‘Apex Park Rocks’ facebook page so people can see if theirs has been found.”

“People can also hint towards the areas that they’ve hidden their rocks so others can try and find them.”

Supervised children aged from three years onwards are welcome to drop in to the Apex Office to take part.

“There will be inspiration with wildlife and bug designs available or children can use their own imaginations and design their own.”

“This latest craze is all about a random act of kindness to make someone’s day a bit better and put a smile on their face.”

It’s also welcomed by parents as a way of not only getting their children out and about in the fresh air instead of iPads and computer games and getting crafty with pens and paints.
