A week-long exhibition showcasing the work of more than 20 Burnham-On-Sea artists is underway in the town this week.
Over 70 paintings by Burnham Art Club members are on display at Burnham Community Centre, where the event was opened on Friday (August 10th) by the town’s Mayor, Ken Smout.
The free exhibition features the work of local artists and is running every day from 10am-5pm until Friday August 17th at the centre in Berrow Road.
“It’s a varied collection of 70 paintings on display this year – from oils and acrylics to water colours,” club chairman Alan Castle told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We encourage residents and visitors to drop in and visit us. There’s a wide range of styles and scenes – from landscapes to portraits – on show from many of Burnham’s best artists.”
The club has been running for 52 years and meets fortnightly on Fridays at 9am in the Community Centre.
