Colourful artwork showcasing scenes from across Somerset and beyond are on display in Burnham-On-Sea this weekend as a group of local artists holds a special exhibition.
Somerset Art Group is holding its first ‘Affordable Arts and Craft Fair’ on Saturday (September 24th) and Sunday (September 25th) at Burnham’s BAY Centre in Cassis Close from 10.30am to 4.00pm on both days.
“The group takes a fresh approach to painting modern and traditional subjects in a range of media such as watercolour, acrylic and mixed media,” organiser Adeena Thomas told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Each artist brings their own individual style to the subjects with the emphasis on colour, light and freshness. They are exhibiting framed and unframed paintings.”
“Many of the original artworks are available for purchase with a price range to suit all budgets, starting from £5.”
Handmade jewellery by Bead Diva will be available plus local, international and arial images from Dave and Chris T Photography.
Admission and parking will be free. Refreshments will be supplied by Cheddar Cottage Cakes and will be available to buy from the cafe in the BAY Centre.
