An army cadet from Burnham-On-Sea is set to represent the UK at a expedition in Canada.
Cdt L/Cpl Prewett, an army cadet from Burnham, has been selected as one of twelve British Cadets to attend a Cadet Expedition Course in Camp Argonaut, New Brunswick, Canada.
The objective of the course is to develop cadets’ qualities of leadership, self-confidence, initiative, ability to relate to others, and to make decisions and take responsibility for them.
The course is both physically and mentally demanding and is testing for any young cadet. He will be expected to work with 180 cadets from the Canadian cadet forces.
Cdt L/Cpl Prewett told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I feel really honoured to have been chosen to take part in this amazing experience. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I am already counting down the days until the beginning of July.”
