Members of an archery group in Burnham-On-Sea are celebrating hitting their funding target following a grant windfall this week.
Burnham Company of Archers, which is based at the town’s BASC ground, has been awarded £6,500 of grant funding from Sedgemoor District Council.
Club secretary Claire Burgess told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re absolutely over the moon with the news – the funding secures our future by providing modern facilities.”
“We will now be able to refurbish our club house and equipment store which are more than 15 years old and can no longer be maintained.”
The group welcomes new members to its regular archery sessions. Six juniors are currently taking part alongside 45 adult members. For more details about how to get involved, see the club’s website here.
