Over 120 runners of all ages took part in Burnham-On-Sea’s autumn aquathlon on Sunday (October 12th).
The adults competed in a 750m swim at Burnham Swim and Sports Academy followed by a 7.5km run along the seafront. Caroline Jones, pictured above, was the overall winner in a fast time of 36:50.
Children took part in ‘splash and dash’ races in Burnham’s pool and on the town’s beach, watched by crowds of spectators. The young winners were Ed Hardman, Tali Hughes, Tristan Marshall, Anya Snowball, Niall Caley and Ellana Horton.
Organiser Martin Rogers, from Burnham Swim and Sports Academy, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The event was a great success, with a good turnout of athletes and some ideal running weather.” Adult results are here and childrens results here.
