Dozens of athletes took part in Burnham-On-Sea’s autumn aquathlon on Sunday morning (October 11th).
Over 40 adults and almost 50 youngsters took part in a series of races organised by Burnham’s Swim and Sports Academy.
The adults took part in a 750m swim at the Berrow Road pool before completing a 7km run along The Esplanade and Highbridge’s Apex Park. The children took part in a ‘Splash n Dash’ event, which comprised a 75 metre swim and 750 metre run for those aged ten and under, while the older children did a 150metre swim and a 1,500m run.
Organiser Martin Rogers told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a great event and we had a good turnout despite some poor weather.” Full results are available here.
