More than 30 athletes ran and swam their way around a course during Burnham-On-Sea’s spring aquathlon on Sunday morning (March 28th).
The annual event, which was organised by Burnham Swim and Sports Academy, comprised of a 750 metre swim followed by a 7km run.
It was well supported by competitors from across the region and was won by Dan Whaites from Yeovil in a fast time of 36 minutes and four seconds, half a minute ahead of second-placed John Mason from Bristol.

Another Aquathlon over 1000m and 10km, including a Childrens ‘Splash and Dash’ event, will be held on Sunday April 11th.
