Dozens of athletes took part in Burnham-On-Sea’s annual autumn aquathlon on Sunday morning (October 10th).
The event, organised by Burnham Swim and Sports Academy, saw over 40 competitors compete in a 750m swim at the town’s swimming pool followed by a 7km run along the seafront.
The overall male winner was Stuart Morrish with second place going to Russell Brown and third James Beach.
The age group winners were (15-39) Toby Duggan, (40-49) Gordon Clark, (50-59) Dave Paul and (60+) John Sutton.
The overall ladies winner was Celia Miall, while second spot went to Ros Viner and third Kelly Pople. The age group winners were (15-39) Vicky Boyer, (40-49) Bev Crokett and (50-59) Lynda Wemyss.
The relay winners were Charlotte Rogers and Mark Ashurst. The full results list in the adult categories are available here.
Meanwhile, over 60 youngsters also took part in a shorter ‘splash and dash’ competition.
The top five places in the Boys 10 and under category were won by members of the Burnham-On-Sea Tri Academy.
The results lists were as follows for Boys 11 & Over, Girls 10 & Under, Girls 11 & Over and Boys 10 & Under.
