A free event is to be held in Highbridge for local businesses in the Burnham-On-Sea area to find out about new apprenticeship reforms that are due to be introduced next year.
The information and consultation event will look at how the reforms will affect local businesses and how Bridgwater College can support them.
The newly merged Bridgwater and Somerset College Apprenticeship Development teams will present information on frameworks, standards, the levy, funding caps, and assessment plans.
“These reforms will affect many businesses, so knowing this information is critical,” said a spokeswoman. “Bridgwater College can help businesses to understand the reforms and are looking to consult with them to help design a solution that best fits the needs of the local business community.”
“Businesses are encouraged to use this event as a way of gaining information, for consultation, to ask questions, and to discuss the issues with other employers and with our apprenticeship development team.”
The event will be held on Wednesday 6th July from 7.30am – 9.30am at The Oaktree, Highbridge. The event is free to attend, and will include light refreshments. To secure a place, RSVP to Bridgwater College’s Apprenticeship Development team at Bridgwater College via business@bridgwater.ac.uk 01278 655111 by Wednesday 29th June.
