Highbridge’s Apex Park treasure trail attracts over 175 entrants

-

A treasure trail around Highbridge’s Apex Park has been hailed a success after attracting 175 children when it was held this week.

The event, run by the Friends of Apex Park, was well supported on Thursday (August 23rd).

Families were invited between 11am and 1pm to find the answers to 15 clues that had been hidden around the park.

It took around 45 minutes to complete and all children were rewarded with a small prize.

The Friends of Apex Park underestimated just how successful it would be and were pleased it got families out in the park exercising and to areas of the park that they would not normally walk to, such as the woodland area.

Russ Chilcott, a Friend of Apex Park and organiser of the event, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The Friends of Apex Park would like to thank everyone that took part and for their generous donations that will be split between Play Day 2019 and the Friends of Apex Park Improvements Group which will help to continue more events in the park in future.”
