Highbridge’s Apex Wildlife Park will soon be bursting into colour, thanks to a seed manufacturer’s donation of thousands of wild flowers.
Sutton Seeds has given dozens of packets of seeds as part of an initiative to encourage public parks across the country to plant more wild flowers.
Burnham in Bloom Committee Members Richard Young and Dave Perrett planted the seeds at Apex on Wednesday (May 6th) with Friends of Apex Park’s Derek Chivers, as pictured above.
Richard told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The park’s existing wild flower area will be even more colourful than usual thanks to this generous donation from Sutton Seeds.”
“They have provided us with a wide range of flowers, including primroses, poppies, foxgloves and cornflowers, which will be coming into bloom from the late summer through into early next year.”
