A free guided wildlife walk is set to be held around Highbridge’s Apex Park this month.
Residents are being invited to become wildlife explorers to discover what is living in the park by joining Sedgemoor District Council’s Ecologist for the walk on Thursday 27th July at 2pm.
“The walk around Apex Park, which is managed by Sedgemoor District Council, will look at the birds, small mammals, insects and plants,” said spokeswoman Clare Faun.
“You don’t need to be a wildlife expert – just come along with a willingness to learn and explore.”
“The walk is suitable for all ages and starts from the information point situated within the Marine Drive Apex car park.”
“The walk will look at the wonderful range of wildlife throughout the park, under the expert guidance of Pete Grainger, Sedgemoor’s Ecologist.”
She added: “Please make sure that you wear suitable clothing and footwear for the terrain and weather conditions. Children supervised by an adult are welcome to attend the walk.”
