Police issue appeal after teenager assaulted in Highbridge’s Apex Park

-

Police have confirmed that a teenager was allegedly assaulted in Highbridge’s Apex Wildlife Park earlier this week, leading to part of the park being cordoned off by officers.

Officers sealed off an area of grassland at the eastern side of the park near Newtown Road, as pictured here, on Monday morning as the investigation got underway.

Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Tuesday: “Police were called to an incident in Newtown Road shortly before midnight on Sunday. An 18 year-old woman who was allegedly assaulted was taken to hospital.”

He added: “Police enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Bridgwater CID via the non-emergency police number 101.”
