Ecologist to lead guided nature walk around Highbridge’s Apex Park

-

A special guided walk around Highbridge’s Apex Park led by the area’s top ecologist is to take on Saturday (June 7th).

Residents are invited to join a free, leisurely guided walk around the park whilst looking at the wide range of birdlife.

“Walkers will be under the expert guidance of Brian Hill from the Somerset Ornithology Society and Pete Grainger, Sedgemoor’s Ecologist,” said Sedgemoor District Council’s spokeswoman Claire Faun.

“Walkers are asked to bring binoculars or a telescope if they have them as this will enhance enjoyment of the event.”

“The walk will be suitable for all ages and take place over mostly level ground. Please wear suitable clothing for the weather!”

Walkers are asked to meet at the Information Centre (near the toilet block) in the main Apex Park car park. The event will take place on Saturday 7th June between 10am and midday.
