Early signs of Spring burst into colour at Burnham’s Apex Leisure Park

-

Signs of an early Spring are already starting to show at Burnham-On-Sea’s Apex Wildlife Park this week.

It may only be early February, but dozens of colourful daffodils are already in full bloom at the park, as pictured, in a demonstration of how mild a winter we have had.

Flooded paths at the park on SundayThe mild temperatures have, however, been accompanied by heavy rain in recent days and several paths at the park are submerged under water.

Wet weather over the weekend raised the level of the lake, as pictured, and walkers are having to take alternative routes.

Joyce Beard, Chairman of the Friends of Apex Park Improvements Group, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Wet weather does often lead to flooding along our lower paths, as has happened during the last few days. Fortunately, though, we also have a higher path that was built several years ago to give walkers an alternative route.”
