Highbridge’s Apex Park to join Great British Spring Clean

-

Volunteers at Highbridge’s Apex Park will be holding a big clean-up this month to mark the nationwide Great British Spring Clean.

Helpers are being encouraged to get involved in the event at Apex Park on Tuesday 7th March from 10am-2pm.

Volunteers are asked to email marina.turner@sedgemoor.gov.uk to confirm they would like to take part. Due to safety reasons, only people who have pre-registered for the litter pick in Apex Park will be able to take part.

Sedgemoor District Council is loaning a range of support for those who are doing their bit, including free volunteer clean-up kits containing litter pickers and gloves and will then collect the bags of collected rubbish.

“The aim of the Great British Spring Clean campaign is to bring people together across the country to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside, parks and coastline,” said a spokeswoman.
