Burnham-On-Sea ambulance station receives £2,900 cash boost

-

A cheque for £2,972 has this week been handed to Burnham-On-Sea ambulance station following a recent successful fundraising event in the town.

Martin Robinson, the station’s Paramedic Supervisor, received the money from Tom Ashton and Carol Davies of the Burnham Community Medical Equipment Fund and John Hodgson and Andrew Bryant from Burnham Lions – as pictured above.

It comes after the two groups organised a highly successful Race Night at Burnham’s Lakeside club during January.

Martin said: “We’re very grateful to both groups for organising this event and raising such a big sum.”

“One half – from the Burnham Community Medical Equipment Fund, – will enable us to buy six high quality stethoscopes and new blood pressure cuffs, while the other half – from Burnham Lions – will go towards helping with our trauma support training programme.”
