A Burnham-On-Sea teenager is directing a new safety video advising young people about the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption.
Molly Harding, 17, is leading production of the responsible drinking video, which is being made in conjunction with Bridgwater College’s Media Academy3 and both Sedgemoor and West Somerset District Councils.
The short video highlights issues around aggressive behaviour and vulnerability, which can result from excessive alcohol consumption.
The film is being fully funded by EDF Energy and will be played in public buildings and schools as part of their annual safety talks.
Director Molly Harding, 17, from Burnham, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’ve had a great time so far with filming. It will not only benefit us, Media Academy3, but will also hopefully send a strong message to local schools and the public.”
Head of EDF Energy’s Bridgwater Office, David Eccles, added: “EDF Energy is very pleased to be supporting this important initiative on a topic that we take very seriously. This film is just one of the ways in which we are helping to encourage a responsible approach to community cohesion.”
