The world-famous Red Arrows and other planes will take to the skies over Brean this weekend during the annual Weston Air Day.
The event will take place on Saturday June 21st and Sunday June 22nd and is being organised by North Somerset Council, featuring a number of famous aviation names.
The Red Arrows will be flying their familiar diamond formation and the show will also feature aircraft from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Falcons parachute team and several aerobatic displays.
The best place to see the action will be Weston itself, but some of the display will be visible from Brean Down, weather permitting.
The world-renowned Royal Air Force aerobatic team, The Red Arrows, are confirmed to perform a thrilling precision flying display, featuring their trademark formations, close-passes and dynamic loops and rolls. To mark their 50th display season, the Red Arrows will be sporting a striking new tailfin design at this year’s event.
Also confirmed for the Sunday is the mighty Avro Vulcan bomber. The XH558 returned to flight in 2007 and is the last airworthy Vulcan, and has proved to be a significant crowd puller wherever she appears.
