A group of Burnham-On-Sea air cadets have all achieved their Provisional VHF Radio Operating Licences after passing a tough exam.
Seven cadets from 290 Squadron Detached Flight Burnham and Highbridge spent Easter Monday studying and practising for their licence under the tuition of Civilian Instructors Jeff Jackson and John Rooke.
Jeff told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “They learnt how the radios work and the correct way of sending and receiving radio messages.”
“They then took an exam paper and had to demonstrate their proficiency by sending and receiving a number of tricky and complicated messages.”
“All seven cadets passed and were awarded their provisional radio operators certificates.”
