An air ambulance landed in Burnham-On-Sea on Friday (April 24th) following a collision between a car and a cyclist in Highbridge.
Emergency services were called to Church Street, Highbridge at lunchtime to help a lady at the scene of the incident.
An orange air ambulance was called to the area and it landed at the BASC Ground in Burnham, as pictured here by a local resident.
A Police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were contacted by the ambulance service shortly before 1pm following a collision involving a car and a cyclist in Church Street, Highbridge.”
“A woman, in her 60s, was treated by paramedics. The road was closed at the junction with Caxton Road.”
An ambulance spokesman added: “We were called at 12.47pm about an incident involving a cyclist on the roundabout of Market Street and Church Street. We treated a female patient at the scene for minor injuries and discharged her.”
Police said anyone with information about the incident can report it online or on 101, giving the log number 455 for Friday 24th April.
