Air ambulance lands at Burnham-On-Sea fire station to help casualty

An air ambulance landed in the car park of Burnham-On-Sea fire station on Sunday afternoon (October 15th) to help a casualty nearby.

A patient was understood to be in a serious condition following a medical emergency next to the car park at Apex Park in Highbridge.

The green Great Western Air Ambulance landed in the nearby fire station car park at around 4.30pm, as pictured here.

Specialist paramedics onboard the helicopter assisted crews from a land ambulance and rapid response ambulance vehicle. Two police cars also attended the incident.

Eyewitnesses told Burnham-On-Sea.com that the air ambulance took off around 40 minutes later without a patient onboard.

It was the first time the helicopter has landed at Burnham-On-Sea fire station
