Action-packed pole dancing night in Brean raises over £2,800 for local hospice

-

An action-packed pole dancing evening in Brean organised by Highbridge fitness company Studio Essence has raised more than £2,800 for a hospice charity.

Local pole dancing fitness group Studio Essence organised its annual charity showcase event at The Tavern, with all funds raised going to local charity St Margaret’s Hospice.

The group’s Sam Smith told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “47 students performed to an audience of family and friends, with 21 fantastic routines on the pole, hoop, aerial sling and aerial silks, plus solos, duets, trios and groups. We even had a mum and daughter duet.

“We raised £2,685 for local charity St Margarets Hospice, Somerset and the charity’s representative was there on the night to represent the charity.”

“We also held a raffle to raise more money where local business donated some incredible prizes, car services, wonderful hampers and hair cuts to name a few.”

David from the charity said: “Thank you all so much – you have certainly all made a positive difference to the patients and families here at the hospice and we are all truly grateful! Thank you for inviting me along to this amazing evening.”
Studio Essence – which unveiled expanded facilities earlier this year – is launching new courses in the New Year.
