Rush hour commuters in the Burnham-On-Sea area suffered delays on Friday evening (February 13th) after two separate road accidents.
Burnham-On-Sea police were called to the A38 at East Brent, as pictured, after an accident partially the route both ways at 5.30pm.
A car lost control, hit a sign, and ended up in a ditch.
Emergency services were quickly on the scene, and the driver was lucky to escape without injuries.
In a second separate accident, police were called to Ham Road at Brean after a car left the road and ended up in a ditch. The accident led to the cross-country route being closed. Traffic was diverted along Red Road into Brean.
