A care home firm in Burnham-On-Sea has marked its 60th anniversary this week with a special celebration.
Abbeyfield in Burnham’s Berrow Road welcomed the Mayor and Mayoress, Michael and Maria Clarke, to an open day and cream tea.
House Chair Annemarie Sampson told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s been a superb day, celebrating an important anniversary for us.”
“It was great to welcome along Burnham’s Mayor and Mayoress who were very interested in our work and the facilities we offer.”
Abbeyfield is an independent supported living residential home registered with charitable and corporate status and it’s affiliated to the national Abbeyfield charity, based in St Albans. There are over hundreds of homes in total across the world.
