Burnham Police issue appeal after man punched in A38 incident

-

Burnham-On-Sea police have appealed for witnesses after a man was punched in the face during an altercation on the A38 at Brent Knoll.

Two vehicles were involved in the incident, which happened northbound on the A38, near the roundabout with the A370, at just before 6pm on Tuesday 3rd June.

Police say a 47-year-old man was injured in the incident.

Investigating officer PC Phill Perkins added: “The victim was driving northbound on the A38 when a Peugeot van stopped in front of him.”

“The driver of the van approached his car and following a brief altercation the victim was punched in the face.”

“Traffic was brought to a standstill while this was going on so there will be people who saw what happened.”

“I would urge anyone with information to contact us as soon as possible.”

If you can help, contact PC Phill Perkins via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
