A motorist was taken to hospital with a chest injury following a two-vehicle crash on the A38 at Rooksbridge, near Burnham-On-Sea, on Thursday.
Emergency crews were called to the scene shortly before 9am after the collision in the centre of the village.
South Western Ambulance Service spokesman Dave Rogers told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Ambulance crews were called at 8.52am to a collision on a blind bend in Rooksbridge.”
“One man with a chest injury was taken to Weston General Hospital and arrived at 9.48am.”
He added that a rapid response ambulance vehicle and two other ambulance crews attended alongside fire crews and police, who diverted traffic around the scene.
